Student: Completing and Viewing An Assignment

Adding An Assignment
Step One:

Click here to open a new window to follow along with the tutorial. Select "edtech" instructor from the list.

Step Two:

Login as any of the students in the class. Type in the password "edtech" and click submit.

Step Three:

These are your assignments. Let's start by working on a project. Click "Fall Colors " or one of the other assignments, under the "Project" header.

Step Four:

Here you will see the homepage for that assignment. The "Introduction," "Assignment," and "Criteria" are located under the Details.

Which classmates have contibuted is linked at "View Contributors". Click to see all that your classmates have written.

Review your assignment, introduction, and criteria.

Step Five:

Click "my projects" in the top toolbar.

Step Six:

In the "Fall Colors" project, click "Create Rough Draft" (or whatever draft you are working on).

Step Seven:

Write in the box provided. Click submit (at the bottom). This is the same process for all the stages of writing: rough, revised, final draft and the reflection.

Step Eight:

Each time you submit, it documents the time and date you worked on the assignment.

Viewing Others Writing
Step One:

Click "my projects" in the top toolbar.

Step Two:

Choose the "Fall Colors" or another project to view under "Project".

Step Three:

Click "View contributors". View the student above you and below you by clicking on rough, revised, final or reflection.

Step Four:

Once you view their writing you can offer a response by clicking "Respond to this writing".

Respond
Step Five:

Click "Respond to this writing." Check out suggestions on how to respond. Before or after you have responded you can view all the comments made to this piece of writing.

Step Six:

Enter your response in the box provided and click "review" when finished.

Step Seven:

On this screen you review your response. You can "submit it," "edit it," or "skip it".

Step Eight:

You can see that your comment has been added by the blue text at the top. Also if you scroll down the page you will see your response.

Step Nine:

When you are finished be sure to go to the top toolbar and "logout".
